BossAction review: a free start, no published price and most of the action sold as add-ons

By Kyle Parker. Updated October 14, 2026

BossAction sells pay-per-head software with an online cashier and a parlay cashout feature, and lets you open a free account before anyone talks price. Live betting, the prop builder, the premium casino and a branded website are add-ons, and none of them has a number on the site. I'd treat it as a quote you have to build, not a price you can compare.

Best for
An agent who wants to collect from and pay his players online through the agent platform, and is happy to build a package and wait for the quote.
Not for
An agent who wants to compare shops on a published head price, or needs live betting and props included in the base fee.

A price you build

BossAction doesn't put a head price anywhere on its site. The pricing page explains the model, a weekly bill for each player who used the software that week, and then says "custom pricing starts here": you open a free account, explore the software and "unlock pricing based on the setup you create". The sign-up form asks how many players you have and which package you want, Standard, Prime or Elite, and the site never says what's in each one.

I don't mind a shop that quotes. I do mind one that won't give you a starting number, because it means you can't put it next to anyone else until you've filled in a form and taken a call. If you're shopping, the comparisons page says what to line up. With BossAction you'll be lining up a quote, so ask for it per head, with every add-on listed separately.

Most of the board is an add-on

The add-ons page is where the product really lives. Real-Time Action is the live betting: in-game wagering with real-time odds, game trackers and streaming across 80+ leagues, with limits per player or market, sharp-play tracking and the ability to cut off action mid-game. Custom Props lets players build their own props, head-to-head matchups and three-player "Trios", and stack up to 10 props in one parlay. Pro Casino has slots and table games plus two live dealer platforms. Branded Website gives you a site in your own name and colors.

For a book whose players bet sides and totals before kickoff, the base software may be enough. Most packages today have live bettors, though, and the day you switch on live betting and props you're paying for two add-ons at prices you haven't seen. The live betting and prop builder pages say what to look for in each.

Paying and collecting through the shop

The feature BossAction leads with is Pay and Collect Online. The site says your players request a payout or send a deposit, you approve it in your agent platform, and BossAction processes the transfer, by debit, credit, crypto and other methods. It calls this the only cashier in the pay-per-head market.

That's a real convenience. Settling up in person is the oldest headache in this business. It's also a different kind of trust. Once your players' money moves through the shop's cashier, you're relying on it for more than lines and grading. And the footer of every page says BossAction "does not engage in any financial transactions related to sportsbook activities". Both can't be the whole story. I'd ask who actually holds the money in transit, how long a payout takes, what it costs per transfer, and what happens to money in the system if your account is closed.

The agent's side

The rest of the agent kit, as the site lists it, is a player control panel for limits and tracking, a risk control tool with alerts when the action piles up on one side, a layoff account, a line mover, a multi-agent manager for sub-agents, a player join form and real-time reports. There's also Parlay Cashout, which lets players cash a parlay out before the last legs. That's a feature I'd price carefully. A cashout offer is a number the book sets, and if the software sets it loosely, your sharper players will find it.

The site says it has 20+ years of experience and proprietary software, and calls itself the newest member of a larger pay-per-head family. It gives no company address and no owner. It also says it covers 500+ sport leagues on the home page and 80+ leagues on the about page, the copyright line reads 2024, and the newest posts on its home page are a year old. Small things, but they're the things you notice when nobody is minding the store.

Before you sign

Use the free account to watch the board next to the market on a busy afternoon, and check how fast you can cut one player's live limit. The software operations guide covers the rest of the list. The site says you can fund your BossAction bill by card, eCheck, MoneyGram or six named cryptocurrencies, so ask which ones carry a fee.

And whatever the software does, taking bets is legal or not depending on where you live. That question is yours, not the shop's.

A free start is fine. Just don't let it become the reason you never asked the price.
