Who writes AskTheBookie

Everything on this site is written under one name, Kyle Parker. Here is who that is, what he brings to it, and the one tie you should know about.

Kyle Parker

I spent more than 25 years as a bookie. That's the whole of my qualification for this site, and I think it's the right one. A review of a sportsbook or a per-head shop is mostly a question of how a book makes its money and where it can hurt you, and I've seen that from the side of the counter most players never get to stand on.

I write the reviews, the guides and the answers on Ask The Bookie. Where a review says a fact was checked, it names the source and the date. Where I give an opinion, it reads as one, in the first person, so you can tell the two apart.

My tie to SportsHub

I also write picks and betting articles for SportsHub, where I'm an in-house handicapper, mostly on soccer. SportsHub belongs to the same business network as AskTheBookie, which is why it isn't reviewed here, and why handicapping services are judged on this site by their published records and the rules on the ATB Verified page, never by my say-so. You can read my SportsHub work on my author page there. How the network is handled across the site is on the conflict of interest page.

Getting something wrong

If I've got a fact wrong, I'd rather hear it than leave it standing. The corrections page says how to tell us and what happens next.
