Weekly Sports Betting Update
With the NFL season officially in the books, many avid sports bettors at BetAnySports will be turning their full attention to the NBA and for good reason. There is some serious money to be made betting on the games if you know how and where to look.
Patriots’ fans may be crying in their chowder following that crushing loss in Super Bowl LII, but they can always turn their attention to the Celtics as a distraction with a straight-up four-game winning streak and a highly profitable 6-0 run against the spread.
Boston (39-15) is two-games up on Toronto (36-16) in the race for the top spot in the Eastern Conference heading into a huge showdown between the two this Tuesday night north of the border. The Raptors are 7-3 SU in their last 10 games, but they have failed to cover BetAnySports’ closing spread in seven of their last 11 outings. The Celtics won this season’s series opener 95-94 as 3.5-point home underdogs in mid-November.
Another hot betting team in the East is Washington with a four-game winning streak both SU and ATS. What makes this run so impressive is the Wizards getting the job done without John Wall in the lineup. He is sidelined for the foreseeable future with a bad knee. Washington is fourth in the East at 30-22 and it has gone a profitable 13-5 ATS when closing as an underdog.
The Wizards stay on the road this Monday night against Indiana and they could really have their hands full against a raucous crowd this Tuesday night when they travel to Philadelphia in a city that is still going to be celebrating the Eagles’ stunning Super Bowl victory. The 76ers have given the fans little to cheer about lately with a 1-4 slide both SU and ATS in their last five games.
Turning to the Western Conference, Minnesota helped to solidify its fourth-place spot in the standings with back-to-back victories against Milwaukee and New Orleans at home. The Timberwolves have covered in four of their last five games with the total staying UNDER in four of those contests.
They will be back in action on Wednesday night against Cleveland as part of a quick two-game road trip against the Central Division. The Cavaliers (30-21) have cemented their spot at the top of the NBA’s ‘not hot’ betting list with a 14-36-1 record ATS that includes a dismal 5-20-1 ATS run at home.
