Thursday Night Football Free Pick | Week 6
This NFC East rivalry gets renewed to start NFL Week 6 when the New York Giants host the Philadelphia Eagles. There has been a lot of drama surrounding Odell Beckham Jr. and the Giants, who at 1-4 are still in the wide-open NFC East.
Philadelphia Eagles (2-3, 1-4 ATS) at New York Giants (1-4, 2-3 ATS)
When: 8:20PM ET, Thursday, October 11th, 2018
Where: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, New Jersey
TV Coverage: FOX, NFL Network
America’s Bookie Line: NYG +3 Total: 43.5
That’s why this game means so much to both teams, with both teams looking up at the Redskins leading the division with a 2-2 record.
The Giants really need this one after starting the season with only a Week 3 win in Houston in the first 5 weeks. The Eagles aren’t doing much better, and are coming off their first two game losing streak since 2016.
The Eagles have dominated this rivalry in recent years, going 8-2 straight up and 6-4 ATS. Philadelphia has won the last three meetings between these two and 4 of the past 5. Having said that, each of those 5 games were decided by 5 points or less. The OVER is 7-3 in the last 10, including the last 5 in a row.
The Giants finally had enough with right tackle Ereck Flowers, placing him on waivers this week after benching him a couple weeks ago. The former 9th overall pick has never lived up to expectations, and is still owed $2.4 million.
I expect the Giants to bring there best for this one, and expect a big day from ODB and Saquon Barkley. If they can get Olivier Vernon back, that will be a huge boost to the pass rush, and will get Carson Wentz on the run.
I am considering wagering on the Giants moneyline (+144), and the OVER, but I feel very comfortable taking the Giants +3.
Free Prediction: Giants +3
I know what you are probably thinking. Wait a minute, why is he giving me another hockey game prediction? Isn’t he best at basketball? The answer is yes, but I simply give you hockey predictions when I feel strongly one way or the other. So that’s the thing, you know that if I’m writing a Read More…
I was tempted to bet the OVER in today’s NBA All-Star game, but at 312, I’ll stick to the NHL. There are 6 games on the NHL schedule today, with a couple big games that might have meaning come April when the final playoff seedings are out. I’m taking a side in the matchup in Read More…
The Nevada Wolf Pack are no longer looking for revenge against Wyoming, this team has been on the mountain top, down in the valley with a close one here and there and tonight’s game will not be close. It may be cold in Laramie, but inside that gym is the hot shooting from 6-7 forward, Read More…
