Tennis Week 9-2

Kudos to Andy Murray who lead Britain over Australia and into the Finals of Davis Cup this past weekend. We are not much of Stat Guy but Murray is now 25-2 lifetime, not too shabby. Another amazing Stat is Britain hasn’t won a Davis Cup since 1936 when famous names like Fred Perry and Bunny Austin were playing. The reason this is so shocking is because Britain and the USA invented the Davis Cup when a few ivy League guys challenged each other and there were only 2 teams invoved.Britain hasn’t been known for their tennis recently and I even went over to England one year to try to catch an ATP point cuz their players suck, but with Murray going 3-0 in every Tie they certainly are tough to beat.

The other team who being carried by one player is Belgium who beat Argentina thanks to David Goffin, who didn’t play doubles on Saturday as Murray did ,but still gives his team a good chance to win every Tie. The Belgians will have home court advantage when they play the Brits at the end of November. He will probably have to beat Murray, or hope that they win the doubles and let his partner Darcis win a match in order to have them win. We really expect Murray however who seems to be on a one man mission to get this done for the Brits and we are pulling for him.

Today it’s back to work as we go to Metz and St Petersburg (Russia). It’s time to work on few things until we get to the Masters event in China in few weeks. If you want to pad your betting account at America’s Bookie before you bet on Monday Night football, put a few bucks on one of our favorite serve and volleyers Gilles Muller-300 over Bedene in France. See you next week guys.
