PGA Free Picks | Waste Management Phoenix Open
The PGA’s version of a frat party takes place this weekend, also known as the Waste Management Phoenix Open. The Waste Management Phoenix Open has the highest attendance of any PGA tour event, with 4-day attendance normally around half a million fans. I am going to start giving 3 or 4 golfers each week I like to pay out as the winner.
Waste Management Phoenix Open
Where: TPC Scottsdale, Scottsdale, Arizona
When: January 31st – February 3rd, 2019
It takes a special kind of golfer to succeed at TPC Scottsdale, one that can play up to the crowd and turn the pressure of screaming golf fans into positive energy. Over the years, a few golfers have stood above the rest and others are just a gut feeling.
Hideki Matsuyama +850
Both current form and past results at Scottsdale is why I have Hideki on top of my list. Although he has some of the shortest odds of any golfer in the field at +850, he still provides a decent return considering how he’s finished here since 2015. Matsuyama withdrew with a wrist injury after a first round 69 last year, but he won the event in 2016 and 2017, and finished 2nd in 2015.
Matt Kuchar +2000
We’re getting great odds for Kooch considering he’s won 2 of the last 4 events he’s played, with his worse result a T19. On top of that, his finishes at the Waste Management Phoenix Open show he loves playing here with a T5 in 2018 and a T9 in 2017.
Billy Horschel +3000
Billy has been playing solid golf of late, finishing no worse than T25 in his last 5 events, including an 8th place finish last week at the Farmers. Although he hasn’t finished better than T24 at the Waste Management over the past 4 years, he’s proven he can go low there with 7 rounds of 69 or better in the same timeframe, including rounds of 65 and 66.

The Reds picked up a big win over one of the best teams in baseball last night, and definitely a team that comes in near or above the top-five in most power rankings. Last night was a close game and yet another run line loss by the Astros, who happen to be 38-34 against the Read More…
