I hit the second part of a double down on Bryson DeChambeau to beat Wyndham Clark last week in their 4th round matchup at the 3M Open. If it weren’t for a miraculous eagle putt on 18 by Matthew Wolff, we would have hit the double down, and a huge payday at +1150 plus the matchup win.
But that’s the effin way she goes Ricky. But here we go again, here’s another PGA double down today. My PGA Picks for the 2019 John Deere Classic look OK going into round 4. Out top guy is Ryan Moore, with Charles Howell and Nate Lashley in striking distance with a big closing round.

PGA Round Matchup – July 14th, 2019 – 2019 John Deere Classic
7409 Ryan Moore (4RD) -115
7410 Vaughn Taylor (4RD) -105
There are a few reasons I like Ryan Moore, but mostly because Moore has been quite a bit better this season than Vaughn Taylor. Particularly in the 4th round.
Taylor has made it to the 4th round 14 times this season, and has shot in the 70’s in nine of those. Moore has played in 12 final rounds this season, carding a 70+ in only 6 of them.
As well, Moore won this event back in 2016, and in the last 4 cuts he’s made at the John Deere, he has fired final rounds of 67, 67, 69, and 68. Moore knows how to get around this course, and I’m hoping he matches yesterday’s round of 65 and is sitting atop the leaderboard and gets 6th Tour win to complete the double down when all is said and done.
Ryan Moore was paying nice odds of +2500 to win this event, an I love his odds at -115 to beat Vaughn Taylor in their round matchup today.
