NHL Free Pick | Predators at Avalanche
Colorado hits the ice tonight with 17 points and they should have more. This team is talented and it appears they don’t know what to do with it. A couple of late collapses north of the border cost the Avs. The one silver lining tonight, 4 days rest. The Avalanche should be ready to take on the hottest team in the NHL, on their home ice. Top online sportsbooks have the Avs a slight home dog at -105 with the Preds at -115.
The Predators started out a bit slow this season but have come on like we all thought they would as they hit the ice riding a 3 game winning streak. At 11-3-0, this team is not only fun to watch, but they are also a great bet. They cover and as the record indicates, they don’t tie. Tonight’s game will be the first meeting since last seasons playoffs in which Nashville took the series in six.
Predators foreword and former Nashville star is looking forward to this battle. He knows Nashville and how deep they are and he understands that it will take a full-on effort to get a win tonight.
“They’re a good team, great (defensive) corps, quite a few forwards that can score, great goalie, but I like the way we matched up against them last year, the way we played against them. We were really strong. It should be a good game (Wednesday).”
Colorado has the highest scoring top line in the NHL and they will not lay down in this game. Nashville comes in without Viktor Arvidsson, Ryan Hartman will most likely be at the starting spot and he’s a tough player. The depth of Nashville cannot be overlooked and it will be a factor in this matchup.

The Avs top three, are all in the top 8 for scoring with Rantanen, (24) MacKinnon, (21) and Landeskog, (18). That’s a pile of points! Colorado is racking up the points and they will be a difficult for for the Predators tonight.
The stats are in favor of the Avs tand we like to think that the Predators suffer their first road defeat.
Prediction: Colorado 4 Nashville 3
There are two ways in which to approach this game. One, you can bet against the Flyers, they have been pretty bad this year and they seem to have lost their heart completely. The other glaring reason to bet against them would simply have to be their record against the spread, it’s an abysmal-15-29. They Read More…
