NHL Free Pick | Penguins at Flyers
The Flyers have been a team to bet against for a good portion of this season, but wow, how the tide has shifted for this group of talented players. The team comes into tonight having won four of their last five games, and great defense has brought them to this stage. In the Flyers last five games they have played at Boston where they picked up a 3-2 win and now are winding down a home stretch that has seen three of four wins. They gave up four goals to Edmonton on the second of this month but hung on for the 5-4 win, they have gone on to beat Vancouver 2-1, a 2-3 loss to LA and finally, a 6-2 win over Anaheim.

The Penguins come into this game having lost four in a row and the Flyers come in having won nine of their last ten games. The Flyers are hot, they come in having scored a pile of goals over the last week and being very stingy from their side of the protection.
The Penguins have a lot of pretty faces that make a pile of money, but this often does very little for team chemistry. We give it up to Sidney Crosby, he is a true star of the game and he is having another great year with 62 points. None of this negates the fact that four losses out of the past five games could spell disaster going into a playoff run.
It’s Monday, so we said f^k it, let’s give em’ two Free Picks! Go to our ATB Pick of the Day page to see where Will Simon went in tonight’s Knicks at Cavs game.
The Penguins are scoring 3.42 goals per game and allowing 3.09. The Flyers are struggling to find a fantastic offense and come in with 2.8 goals per game. They are winning based on the strength of their defense.
The Penguins are not what they used to be, and Philadelphia is certainly not the Flyers of old. One thing is certain, the Flyers go out every game and they play as if they want to win. This trend has certainly been the case in the last few games.
Pittsburgh is reeling with four straight losses and the Flyers are flying high, with winning. If you want to see a great game, then dial this one in. The home team seems like the better choice with plus numbers.
NHL Free Pick: Flyers +110
