NHL Free Pick | Maple Leafs at Golden Knights
The Vegas Golden Knights have hit the skids to the tune of a two-game losing streak and losers of six of their last 8. The ironic thing, the Knights had the third best home record in the NHL last season, and it was their first season in existence. Who’s to say, what we can call this… was it beginners luck? Absolutely not.
The expansion draft was let’s just say, extremely good to the Knights, and they had a team coming in. They are well coached, they are disciplined, and they put it together just as a veteran team would. The Knights are 16-8-3 at home, so not all is bad, however, they need to snap out of this slump or things will go from bad to worse very quickly. The Maple Leafs are tough minded, and they have been solid all season. Tonight’s game will be fantastic.

Toronto comes in having won six of their last ten games and sit in the number five slot for points in the NHL with 73. They are certainly not blowing the doors off opponents as they were in the early going but have regained some of the traction they once had with 3.57 goals per game, and 2.84 against.
Toronto is healthy, and they are young. This team has a windfall of opportunity and this year could finally be the breakout season for making it back to the Stanley Cup Finals. That’s not a prediction! The Maple Leafs are snake-bit and if any one franchise can find a way to screw it up, this franchise will indeed do just that.
Up to the minute NHL Scores and Odds
The Knights need a victory right now. They must stop the bleeding before this becomes an all-out season-threatening wound. The defense is still solid, but the offense is sputtering at 2.93 goals per game.
The problem for the Knights is a lack of overall leadership. Somebody needs to step up and take charge and be heard. Will it be Alex Tuch? It should be Tuch, he is the points leader with 40 and it’s simply not enough, he must do more. His entire team must do more.
Tonight, is the test for the Knights, if they can beat the Leafs, they can turn this losing streak around and get back to their winning ways.

Sometimes in sports betting, it is time to put up or shut up. I have been touting the San Jose Sharks as the team to beat in the NHL’s Western Conference since the All-Star break. Things were looking pretty good through the first three games of their best-of-seven conference finals matchup against St. Louis with Read More…
