NHL Free Pick | Devils at Penguins
The NHL is back after the All-Star Weekend. Did you watch the skills comp and All-Star game? I missed the skills comp but did catch the games; it was entertaining and gave players the opportunity to show off their immense talent. All in all I would give it a 6.5-7 out of 10. But the return of the NHL gives us more betting options and let’s us be choosier of where our money goes.
Game: New Jersey Devils (18-23-7, 25-23 ATS) at Pittsburgh Penguins (26-16-6, 21-27 ATS)
When: 7:00 PM ET, Monday, January 28th, 2019
Where: PPG PAINTS Arena, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Current Line: NJD +195 | +1.5-130 PIT -235 | -1.5+110 Total: 6.5

The Pens’ representatives in the NHL All-Star games were nothing short of spectacular. MVP Sidney Crosby scored 2 goals and set up another in the Metropolitans’ win over the Atlantic and scored another 2 and set up 3 more in the Final, a 10-5 victory over the Central.
Kris Letang showed he still has the skills as well, scoring a goal and 1 assist in their first game, and logged a team high 8 minutes and 20 seconds of ice time in the final where he scored a goal and set up 2 more.
Although the Penguins lost 3 of 4 heading into the break, their last game was on January 19th, and riding high from All-Star success, watch for the Pens to come out flying.
To make matters worse, the Devils will be without their top forward Taylor Hall. Hall has been out of action since December 23rd with a lower body injury, and is healing slower than expected.
The Devils won the first three after Hall went down, but have lost 7 of their last 10, including their last 3. New Jersey is 5-0 ATS in its last 5 against the Pens, but tonight is the perfect night to fade that trend.
Pittsburgh is 14-6 in their last 20 home games against New Jersey, and although we’re not getting much in return, I’m taking the Penguins -1.5 tonight.
NHL Free Pick: Penguins -1.5+110

The Reds picked up a big win over one of the best teams in baseball last night, and definitely a team that comes in near or above the top-five in most power rankings. Last night was a close game and yet another run line loss by the Astros, who happen to be 38-34 against the Read More…
Throw out the fact that the San Francisco Giants are in last place in the National League West Division. The Giants-Dodgers rivalry is one of the best in baseball. The two teams meet for the fourth time this season beginning a four-game series on Monday night. If you think just because the Giants are in Read More…
