NHL Free Pick | 2 Team Parlay
I’m going to mix it up a little today and throw out a 2-team parlay on a night that sees an 11-game NHL schedule and the return of the NBA after the All-Star break. How did you like the NBA All-Star festivities this year? I was pretty bored to be honest, but I’d love to know what y’all think. Please go tell us what you think in the comment section on our ATB social media pages.
The first game of tonight’s parlay comes from South Florida where the Florida Panthers host the Carolina Hurricanes. The Panthers are a slight home dog with EVEN odds, with the Hurricanes at -120. The total has been set at 6.
The Hurricanes have been getting some bad press for their postgame celebrations, but it looks as though they are turning it into something positive. They are winners in 7 of their last 10, and something that most hockey fans may have missed, the Carolina Hurricanes have only 7 losses in their last 23 games.
The Panthers haven’t been terrible themselves recently, winners of their last 3 and 9 of their last 13. A closer look at the stats shows quite a difference in goal differential, with the Hurricanes at +7 and the Panthers at -18.
The second game of our parlay comes just a little north in Tampa Bay when the Lightning play host to the Buffalo Sabres. The Lightning are a huge favorite at -270, and for good reason. Their 96 points are head and shoulders above anyone else in the league, with a goal differential of +80, 37 points higher than the Calgary Flames, who have the second best mark.
The Sabres have been playing very uninspiring hockey, losers of their last 3 and 7 of their last 10. They haven’t won back-to-back games since mid-December, and will be in tough against a Tampa squad that scores the most goals in the league behind Nikita Kucherov, Brayden Point and Steven Stamkos and allows the 27th least goals on defense.
NHL Free Pick: Hurricanes -120 and Lightning -270 (+151)

Both of these teams know who they will be playing should they win this series and both had better revel in the glory now because the glory will be in short supply moving forward. The Golden State Warriors have completed the sweep over Portland to make a 5th straight appearance in the NBA Finals. No Read More…
Sometimes in sports betting, it is time to put up or shut up. I have been touting the San Jose Sharks as the team to beat in the NHL’s Western Conference since the All-Star break. Things were looking pretty good through the first three games of their best-of-seven conference finals matchup against St. Louis with Read More…
