NFL Week 8 Who’s Hot and Who’s Not

With Monday night’s 10-point victory against Washington as five-point home favorites with BetAnySports, the high-flying Philadelphia Eagles now own the best straight-up record in the NFL at 6-1. They have also covered the closing line in the last four games of this current five-game winning streak to improve to 5-2 against the spread. The total went OVER 48.5 points in Monday’s big divisional victory and it has gone OVER in five of their last six games.

The Eagles will remain at home this Sunday in a 1 p.m. kickoff against 0-7 San Francisco as 10.5-point favorites. With this season’s sweep of the 3-3 Redskins, they are now two and a half games up in the NFC East.

Another hot NFC team right now both on the field and at the betting window at BetAnySports is the New Orleans Saints at 4-2 SU and ATS. The total has gone OVER in four of the six games. The Saints stumbled out of the gate in losses to Minnesota on the road and New England at home, but they have been lights out ever since by outscoring their opponents in the next four games 132-68.

This Sunday, New Orleans will play host to Chicago as a nine-point favorite with the total set at 48 points. The 3-4 Bears have also been a solid betting team this season at 5-2 ATS. They have now covered in their previous three games with last Sunday’s 17-3 upset at home against Carolina as 2.5-point underdogs.

Seattle is 4-2 SU and a half a game in back of the surprising 5-2 Los Angeles Rams in the NFC West title race and it is on the move at 3-3 ATS with three-straight covers. The Seahawks are at home this Sunday against Houston as 5.5-point favorites and the Rams are off with a bye.

The hottest betting team in the AFC at 5-2 both SU and ATS is still the Kansas City Chiefs, but the bloom is off the rose a bit with recent losses to Pittsburgh at home and Oakland on the road the past two weeks. They will be in the prime time spotlight again this week as 7.5-point home favorites against 3-3 Denver on Monday Night Football. BetAnySports has set the total line for this AFC West tilt at 44 points.
