The 2018 NFL Playoffs are here, and we can’t wait! The Colts and Texans get it started on Saturday afternoon, but our free pick is coming from Dallas where the Cowboys host the Seahawks.
These two played in Seattle in Week 3 with Seattle coming out on top 24-13, and were up 24-6 until Tavon Austin caught a Dak Prescott pass with 7 minutes remaining to bring the score to respectability.
Neither Prescott nor Russell Wilson threw for over 200 yards, with Wilson throwing for 192, 2 TDs and no INTs while Dak tossed 168, 1 TD and 2 INTs. Each team had a running back go for over 100 on the ground after Zeke Elliott ran for 127 yards on only 16 carries and Chris Carson went for 102 and a TD on 32 carries.
Seattle closed out the season strong with 6 wins in their last 7, the only defeat a surprising 26-23 loss in San Francisco. Carson broke the century mark on the ground in the last 3, and if he can keep that up, no one is going to want to face this Seahawks team.
Here’s another look at this game in Dave’s weekly article highlighting an underdog ready to bite the books. Click here to see it.
The Cowboys finished strong as well, winning 7 of their last 8 games, with a 23-0 loss in Indy the only blemish on their second half schedule.
Looking back on this matchup head to head, the Seahawks have a slight edge with a 6-4 SU record with the Cowboys 6-4 ATS. The UNDER has paid out in 8 of the last 10 between these two.
This is going to be a great game and I expect it to be very close. Russell Wilson is a gamer, and I think his added experience against this young Dallas team will be the difference maker in this one.
