NFL Free Pick | Colts at Texans
It would be easy to pick the Texans in this game for one reason, the nine game winning streak. The Texans are hot after starting out the season on a three game losing streak, this group has definitely found themselves. With a 9-3 record, there are a couple of ways to look at this team. None of their three losses were blowouts. They opened the season in New England with a 27-20 loss, that was expected. Every NFL fan knows how difficult it is to get a win in Foxboro, especially on opening day of the schedule. However, the Texans went on to lose to the Titans 20-17, another close game, but it was the Titans! Then in week three, the Texans hosted the now 4-8 Giants and lost, 27-22.
The Texans Wins:
WK 4- @Indianapolis 37-34 OT
WK 5- Vs Dallas 19-16 OT
WK 6- Vs Buffalo 20-13
WK 7- @ Jacksonville 20-7
WK 8- Vs Miami 42-23
WK 9- @ Denver 19-17
WK 10- Bye Week
WK 11- @ Washington 23-21
WK 12- Vs Tennessee 34-17
WK 13- Vs Cleveland 29-13
Any nine game winning streak in the NFL can only be a good thing, and we are not detracting from it in any way, however, it’s worthy of pointing out that most of the nine wins have all been close with exception of Miami, Tennessee and Cleveland, let’s throw Jacksonville in the mix at 20-7, but that game certainly wasn’t a blowout. Within the nine game winning streak, not one of the wins came against a team with a winning record. While we can’t take away from the streak, what we can say with authority is this; they should have won all of those games and this team is vulnerable.
The Colts come into this one after getting waxed by the Jaguars in a 6-0 shutout. Andrew Luck will not be embarrassed twice and this Colts team is facing a “must win” situation. Andrew and the boys bounce back after a brutal loss and keep this one within 4.5.
