NFL Early Free Pick | Buccaneers at Giants
We are going back to the well. We believed it and we saw it; a Giants win and a good game from Eli. When a team has (arguably) the best receiver, and a two time Super Bowl winning quarterback plus the best overall pick in the draft in probably the last 10 years, at running back, they eventually will find a way to win. That’s exactly what they did against San Francisco. They went into SFO and gutted it out and left with a victory.

It matters not how good or how bad the 49ers are, what mattered in that game was a 3,000 mile trip to the opposite coast on national TV and a win. They got it, they covered the spread and they walked out of that dump with the “W”.
Despite what his critics say and how desperately the networks want to end Eli’s career, he is still a solid quarterback and he can still throw the football. He still has winning instincts and he proved it with a 4th quarter comeback on the road last Monday night. Manning was 19 of 31 passing against the 49ers with 188 yards, 3 TDs and an overall rating of 110.7. He was brilliant. He has put together 2,565 yards on the season with 11 TDs, all things considered and taking into consideration how this team played last season, not bad.
The Buccaneers started the season out in grand fashion with a 48-40 win in New Orleans and a 27-21 victory over the Eagles. They looked unbeatable through the first two weeks and the networks had them Super Bowl bound, then they went out and immediately lost three in a row to Pittsburgh 30-27, they were shelled by the Bears 48-10, and put away by the Falcons 34-29. Then in Week 7 they picked up a squeaker against the Browns 26-23, but a win is a win and at the end of the day, that’s the only thing that matters. Then, they went out and lost three in a row!

There are two ways in which to approach this game. One, you can bet against the Flyers, they have been pretty bad this year and they seem to have lost their heart completely. The other glaring reason to bet against them would simply have to be their record against the spread, it’s an abysmal-15-29. They Read More…
