NCAAF Free Pick - Penn State @ Michigan
Earlier in the season we gave Jim Harbaugh the business and it wasn’t pretty! It seems that every year it’s the same with this Harbaugh led Michigan Wolverines team, however, maybe not this season.
It appears that Harbaugh has turned the corner on finding ways to be miserable. A Harbaugh team is one that will never be built for perfection, he coaches as if he was in the NFL; getting in gives you a chance.
Getting in is not all that matters in college football. It certainly matters now that there is a legitimate playoff structure but never forget how teams make the “Big Six” playoffs; national BCS rankings. If a team is not in the top ten, they have no chance whatsoever and really, they need to be in the top 5 in order to be assured of a spot.
Playing for the top five is what must be done and so far, so good for the Wolverines. At 7-1, this team is cruising and they have never looked back since the week one loss to Notre Dame. There has been just one game on the schedule that came close to a hiccup and that was against North Western.
The Wolverines come in fully rested after the 21-7 win over their in-state rival-the Spartans and although Patterson did not have a big game, he had a solid game with 212 yards passing and 2 TD’s. Higdon had a great game on the ground with 33 carries for 144 yards.
Harbaugh builds grit and determination, he doesn’t build flash, he doesn’t build sexy. He is not Dabo Sweeny, and he is not Nick Saban or Urban Meyer for that matter, however, the Big 10 coaches-out, very similar.
Penn State is out of this race and they know it, they want nothing more than to come into today’s game and be the party poopers! Not in the “Big House”. Not a chance. Mc Sorley and Sanders will both have a big day, but not enough.
Prediction: Michigan 24 Penn State 17
The Reds picked up a big win over one of the best teams in baseball last night, and definitely a team that comes in near or above the top-five in most power rankings. Last night was a close game and yet another run line loss by the Astros, who happen to be 38-34 against the Read More…
Throw out the fact that the San Francisco Giants are in last place in the National League West Division. The Giants-Dodgers rivalry is one of the best in baseball. The two teams meet for the fourth time this season beginning a four-game series on Monday night. If you think just because the Giants are in Read More…
