The Army/Navy game is an all-time classic that has been played since November 29th, 1890. Navy leads the series, 60-51-7 and they won every game consecutively from 2002-2015. The last two years have gone Army’s way.
This game is always the last game of the regular season in college football and always goes off alone. Not only is it the last game, it’s the only game on the CFB Division I schedule, for the entire final week. This matchup is always fun and it represents a sense of pride and a sense of patriotism.
Although Navy is nowhere near where they wanted to be to end the season, 3-9, you can count on a valiant effort. Army has a chance to win 10 games for just the third time ever, you can know they want this game worse than anything and they are ready.
Army started the season out with a somewhat miserable loss to Duke, 34-14. They don’t even want that one back, they forgot about it and moved on, way on! They went on to pound Liberty and beat Hawaii, in Hawaii and then came the game they absolutely wish they could have back, just one do-over on the season; Oklahoma!
Army had this game, they had the Sooners right where they wanted them and they couldn’t hang on in a 28-21 OT loss. It was a great game and a confidence booster for Army, as they went on to win the next 7 games in a row and now, they are looking for their 8th.
Navy’s season has been miserable and they have lost their last 3 and the last 4 of 5 games. They allow a whopping 34.9 points per game and are only scoring 26.3. Army on the other hand, they are scoring 30.8 points per game and allowing just 18.7.
Darnell Woolfolk will be the star for Army, look for big yards on the ground and a big win.
NCAAF Free Pick: Army easily covers -6.5.
