NCAAF Free Pick | Florida vs. Florida State
A long standing tradition, this game has and a storied history. Rivalry week is the best week in college football and although there are many good ones this week, we decided to bring you one from the ACC.
We tend to focus on the sexier conferences such as the Big 10, the Big 12, the SEC and the PAC 12, but why not the ACC this week? There couldn’t be a better game and certainly not a better rivalry. Unbelievably, Florida State has owned this matchup since 2013 but the Gators are very clearly the better team on paper.
Even with a win over the Seminoles today, the Gators would need an enormous amount of help to make the playoffs and the likelihood of that happening, is close to none. All kinds of great teams would have to lose, such as Alabama, Georgia, Notre Dame, even Clemson, Michigan, and this is not going to happen. Possibly a few of the before mentioned lose, but for them all to lose; not a chance.
Florida comes in having won 2 straight over Idaho, 63-10, which is no surprise. Idaho is a terrible team, a program in transition and most anybody can beat them. The week before was a win over South Carolina but the Gators struggled in a 35-31 finish. The previous two weeks are perhaps the most telling with the Gators losing to Missouri, 38-17 and Georgia, 36-17. The Gators are scoring 33.9 points per game and allowing 21.
They are scoring 22.6 per game and allowing 30.6. They got a nice win over BC last week but were blown out three previous weeks against teams that mattered, ND 42-13, NCST 47-28, and Clemson 59-10. Today, the streak ends! This one could be close in the early going but not for long. The Seminoles are rebuilding and this year, the Gators are better.
The better team wins this contest.

The Reds picked up a big win over one of the best teams in baseball last night, and definitely a team that comes in near or above the top-five in most power rankings. Last night was a close game and yet another run line loss by the Astros, who happen to be 38-34 against the Read More…
Throw out the fact that the San Francisco Giants are in last place in the National League West Division. The Giants-Dodgers rivalry is one of the best in baseball. The two teams meet for the fourth time this season beginning a four-game series on Monday night. If you think just because the Giants are in Read More…
