NBA Who is Hot and Who Is Not Weekly Betting Update- Feb. 26

One team that went into the recent NBA All-Star break hot while not missing a beat in last
week’s return to action has been the Houston Rockets. With Sunday’s 119-114 road victory
against Denver by the slimmest of margins against the spread as 4.5-point favorites, the
Rockets extended their straight-up winning streak to 12 games. They have gone 7-3 ATS in
their last 10 games and the total has gone OVER BetAnySports’ closing line in five of their last
eight games.

Houston is a NBA-best 46-13 SU (30-28- 1 ATS) heading into Monday night’s showdown against
Utah as a 2.5-point road favorite. The Jazz were another hot team heading into the break with a
SU 11-game winning streak while going 8-3 ATS, but a 100-81 loss to Portland last Friday as
4.5-point home favorites effectively ended that run. Utah bounced back with Saturday’s 97-90
home victory against Dallas, but it could not cover the closing 10.5-point spread to sink to 0-4
ATS in its last four games. The total has stayed UNDER in its last three games.
One of the hottest teams in the East lately has been the Philadelphia 76ers with a SU seven-game winning streak while going 5-2 ATS ever since the Eagles won the Super Bowl. That run also came to an end on Sunday in a 109-94 loss to Washington as slight 1.5-point road
underdogs with BetAnySports. Philadelphia is 32-26 SU (32-25- 1 ATS) and it will be back in action against Miami on the road this Tuesday.

The Heat are just 2-8 SU in their last 10 games, but they have gotten red-hot for bettors with
five covers in a row. Miami beat Memphis 115-89 on Saturday as a 9.5-point home favorite. The
total has gone OVER in seven of its last eight games.

If you are looking for a team to go against this week, the Detroit Pistons should be at the top of
the list. After all the fanfare from the team’s recent trade for Blake Griffin died down amid a SU
five-game winning streak, Detroit has lost five of its last six games SU. Even worse for bettors is
just one cover in its last 10 outings. The Pistons will be on the road against Toronto on Monday
night as 10.5-point underdogs before facing Central Division rival Milwaukee at home this
Wednesday.
