The Oklahoma City Thunder look to get back on track and have a chance to take over top spot in the West down only a half a game to both the Denver Nuggets and Golden State Warriors.
After a 4-game winning streak starting December 15th, the Thunder have dropped 2 straight to Minnesota and Houston on Christmas Day. Even thought OKC took an 8-point lead into half time, James Harden and his 41 points proved to be too much, eventually losing 113-109. The 5-points we got on our Three Team Christmas Teaser were enough to help us to a huge win on Christmas Day in our Free Pick of the Day.
The Suns have only 9 wins on the year, by far the least in the West, however 5 of those wins have come in their last 7 games. They went on a 4 game win streak starting December 13th, losing their next two but got back into the win column their last time out, a 122-120 OT win in Orlando.
This will be the 4th and final meeting between these conference rivals, with OKC taking the first 3. The Thunder won by 7 in Game 1, 17 in Game 2 and 10 in Game 3 and are 5-0 SU in their last 5 meeting with the Suns. In those same 5 games, the Suns are 4-1 ATS.
Expect the OKC Thunder to come out with guns blazing in this one after their tough loss on Christmas Day. Paul George has been playing great lately, and Russell Westbrook can take the game into his own hands at any time. The 6.5 the Thunder are laying provides some great value.
