Its Super Bowl week and Joe Berra is here to get your account where it needs to be leading up to the big game. I don’t know about you, but I like to have my account fully loaded full so I can bet on everything from who is going to throw up first to the color of Gary Kubiak’s unmentionables.
Really though, have y’all seen what you can bet on this Sunday? I did an article last Friday, Super Bowl Props Betting, outlining some prop bets, but since then more have been added with more yet to come. Here are a few NBA games I like tonight that will help get your week started right.
Cleveland Cavaliers at Indiana Pacers
The Cleveland Cavaliers (34-12, 21-23-2 ATS, 22-24 O/U) travel to Indianapolis to take on the Indiana Pacers (25-22, 24-23 ATS, 22-25 O/U) riding a four-game winning streak including a huge 117-103 home win against the San Antonio Spurs. The Cavs took a commanding 66-49 lead into half time, one that the league’s second best team couldn’t overcome.
Cleveland may finally have their “Big Three” on track as LeBron led all players with 29 points, with both Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love scoring 21. Love also had a game high 11 rebounds (3 offensive, 8 defensive). The Cavs shot 54.9% from the field while the Spurs shot just below 50% at 49.4%. Kawhi Leonard led the Spurs with 24 points and 6 rebounds but only went 7-15 from the field including 3 of 7 from behind the arc.
Basketball odds makers have the Cavaliers a 4½-point road favorite with the total at 208½. Both of these teams are in the top 7 when it comes to defense with the Cavs allowing 96.3 points per game (3rd) and the Pacers allowing 99.9 PPG (7th). Take the UNDER.
Memphis Grizzlies at New Orleans Pelicans
A Southwest Division clash in the Big Easy sees the New Orleans Pelicans (18-28, 20-26 ATS, 22-24 O/U) hosting the Memphis Grizzlies (28-20, 23-24-1 ATS, 25-22-1 O/U). America’s Bookie currently has the Pelicans a 2½-point favorite with the number at 202½.
These divisional rivals have already played twice this year with the Grizzlies winning both. They first played in New Orleans on December 1st, with the Pelicans losing SU and ATS as a 1-point home favorite 101-99. The second match-up had the Grizz a 5-point home favorite, one they couldn’t cover but won the game 101-99.
Although the Pelicans are playing good ball as late winning 7 of their last 9; the Grizzlies are also hitting their stride with wins in 9 of their last eleven. I gotta take the Grizzlies and their 2½-points here.
Toronto Raptors at Denver Nuggets
The last game I like tonight has one of the hottest team in the league, the Toronto Raptors (32-15, 27-20 ATS, 23-24 O/U) playing the Denver Nuggets (18-30, 25-21-2 ATS, 27-21 O/U) at the Pepsi Center in Denver.
These two played at the Air Canada Center on December 3rd when the Nuggets stunned the Raps with a 106-105 win as a 10-point dog. Denver spoiled a 34-point effort from DeMar DeRozan getting double digit scoring from five players, including a team high 22 off the bench from Will Barton.
The Raptors are in the midst of a team best and longest current winning streak of 11 games and are sure to want to exact revenge with the tough loss to the Nuggets the last time they played. I’ll take the 5-points Toronto is giving in this one.
