MNF Free Pick | Titans at Texans
The 2018-19 NFL Football season is passing by in a hurry. The weeks are clicking by and the action has never been better. There had been speculation in the offseason and even over the course of the last couple of seasons, that the NFL was losing viewers, losing their luster and fans were angry.
This is all true on some level, however, the NFL is never going to go away. They have taken steps to address their political problems and as fans, it seems that we have pretty much found a happy medium. No matter where we stand, and at the end of the day, if you have been watching the games then you know how good this year has been. The talent gets better and better as each week brings something new and something worthy of watching. This past week was no exception.
What happens tonight? The Titans need a victory in a very bad way. Marcus Mariota will get the start against a Houston Texans team that comes in hotter than a two dollar pistol!
The Texans are looking for their 8th straight win. If the Titans want to win this game, they had better batten down the hatches and prepare for battle. They must play mistake free or they have no chance.
Mariota’s season has been up and down to say the least, it’s been plagued with injury and doubt. With 1,583 yards, 7 TDs and 6 INTs, who wants to put up their cash on that stat-line? Deshaun Watson on the other hand has been solid, with 2,597 yards, 18 TDs but 9 INTs.
Unbelievably, the defense for the Titans has allowed less points than the Texans. The Texans are allowing 20.5 ppg, and the Titans 18.9.
If Mariota can ever get his act together, the Titans can be a solid contender; not tonight on national TV, on MNF, in Houston, against a team that’s going for their 8th straight. The best defensive player in the NFL still hangs his hat in Houston!
MNF Free Pick: Texans -3½ — Texans 24 – Titans 17
