MUST SEE – RETHINKING THE RED SOX – UPDATED MLB ODDS
The Twins are the hottest team in baseball right now, leading the lead runs, homeruns, total bases, RBIs, slugging percentage and OPS. On the flipside, they are 8th in team ERA, 3rd in quality starts and 4th best in walks.
The White Sox are quite the opposite, and can be found in the bottom third of major batting categories like runs, homeruns and on base percentage. When looking at pitching stats, they have walked the most batters in all of the Majors, have the 5th worst team era, 7th worst in earned runs and the 6th worst batting average against.
TOP PAY PER HEAD SHOPS
I don’t usually like to take a home favorite on the run line, but that’s exactly what I am doing today. Jake Odorizzi has been on fire, allowing zero runs in 4 of his last 5 starts, and winning 6 of his last 7 starts.
Dylan Covey has been serviceable, but far from great. He’s started 4 games so far this season, not making it to the 5th in 3 of them. He’s allowed 4 runs in two of his last 3 starts, and a quick look at his stats versus current Twins batters shows he and the South Siders could be in for a long day.
On top of that, the Twins are 5th in the league, covering the run line 56.9% of time, with the White Sox 7th from the bottom at 45.1. It will probably go UNDER 10 as well, but my official pick is Twins on the run line.
