MLB Free Pick | Mariners at Angels
We all pine over football season and it’s betting opportunities, but any true sports fan has to love this time of the year. If you really know sports, there is not only plenty of great action to bet on, betting this time of the year provides huge winning potential. The NHL and NBA Playoffs provide huge value bets, while some MLB lines are also off, which is why I am going with Mariners at Angels.
Game: Seattle Mariners (14-8, RL 14-8) at Los Angeles Angels (8-11, RL 11-8)
When: 10:07 PM ET, Friday, April 19th, 2019
Where: Angel Stadium of Anaheim, Anaheim, California
Current Line: LAA -120 Total: 9
TV Coverage: ROOT Northwest, FS West
Probable Pitchers: Marco Gonzales (4-0, 3.19 ERA) vs. Felix Pena (0-1, 3.65 ERA)
Although they have scuttled recently, getting swept in back-to-back three game series’ against Houston and Cleveland, the Mariners are still 14-8 and 9-1 away from T-Mobile Park.
The Angels have been playing uninspired baseball, losing 4 in a row and are 1-5 SU in their last 6 home games against the Angels.

Maybe the biggest reason I like the Mariners tonight is Marco Gonzales. The 27-year-old starting pitcher maybe not be a household name because he plays in the Northwest, but he is one of the best pitchers in the game and has enjoyed success against the Angels. He is 4-0 with a 2.96 ERA in 9 starts against the division rival.
Felix Pena takes the bump for the Angels, his 3rd start of the year. He’s yet to pitch 5 innings in a start, however he’s only allowed one earned run in 8.2 innings in his last 2 starts.
This line somewhat scares me, because I don’t see any way the M’s should be the dog here. I can’t pass up on the value though, as my simulations have Seattle winning 59% of the time.

Normally, this wouldn’t be a sexy game and we’re not saying that it’s a sexy game today, but we do like the curb appeal the Oakland A’s are giving their fans. Don’t look now, but this team comes into the three-game set with a 53-41 record and having won 8 of their last 10 games. Read More…
