Game: Atlanta Braves (45-32, 38-39 ATS) at Washington Nationals (37-39, 39-37 ATS)
When: 1:35 PM ET, Sunday, June 23rd, 2019
Where: Nationals Park, Washington, District of Columbia
Current Line: ATL -102 WAS -107 Total: 9
TV Coverage: FS South, MASN
Probable Pitchers: Braves RH Mike Soroka (8-1, 2.12 ERA) vs. Nationals RH Austin Voth (NR – 1st Appearance in 2019)
If Keuchel can be 75% of the pitcher he was between 2014 and 2018, and the Braves make a move to sure up that bullpen, they’ll be playing the Dodgers in the NLCS in October.
This is because Keuchel needs to be nothing more than the 3rd or 4th starter in the Braves rotation with guys like Julio Teheran, Max Fried and most importantly today’s starter Mike Soroka in front of him.
Soroka has been nothing but spectacular this season, especially in the age of the babied pitcher. You’ll find Soroka on top of many pitching stat categories across the Majors, including wins, ERA and WHIP.
For the Nationals, Austin Voth is making his first appearance in the bigs today after spending the season at AAA Fresno. The 26-year-old has been slow to develop into the pitcher he was drafted to be in the 5th round.
Voth started 2 games last season, making 4 total appearances spanning 12.1 innings. He finished 2018 with a stat line of 1-1, 12 hits, 9 earned runs, 3 Homers allowed, 6 walks and 11 K’s, good for a 6.57 ERA and a 1.46 WHIP.
