rush TD/sociology, master’s in communication management), USC has the nation’s most accomplished returning quarterback of 2015. The 2-year starter entered this year as a candidate for the Heisman Trophy and All-American honors. He is among 5 finalists for the Unitas Award, 20 semifinalists for the Maxwell Award and 17 semifinalists for the 2015 Davey O’Brien Award.

He currently is ninth nationally in completion percentage (.693, second in Pac-12), 12th in passing efficiency (163.6, first in Pac-12), 18th in passing TDs (20, third in Pac-12), 21st in passing yardage (279.0, fourth in Pac-12), 22nd in completions (21.8, fifth in Pac-12) and 25th in points responsible for (14.9, fourth in Pac-12). His 2015 passing efficiency mark of 163.6 and his 69.3% completion mark this year are both near the USC season records he set last year(167.1, 69.7%). His 196 completions ties him for 20th on the USC season list.

USC has scored at least 20 points in 157 of its past 180 contests (including a since-broken NCAA
record 63 consecutive games, a streak that was snapped in the 2006 UCLA game). USC has scored at least 30 points in 113 of its last 170 games.

USC’s defense in 2015 is fourth nationally in defensive TDs (4, first in Pac-12), eighth in fourth down conversion defense (.267, first in Pac-12) and ninth in turnover margin (1.1, first in Pac-12). USC has returned fumbles for TDs twice in 2015 (46 yards by ILB Osa Masina versus Arkansas State and 94 yards by S Chris Hawkins versus Arizona State) and interceptions for a TD twice (54 yards by ILB Cameron Smith and 46 yards by CB-WR-RET Adoree’ Jackson). USC has intercepted a pass in 122 of the last 174 games. USC has held 93 of its last 173 opposing teams to 100 rushing yards or less (including 3 times in 2015). Only 37 opposing runners have rushed for 100 yards against USC in the past 161 games (most recently, Notre Dame’s C.J. Prosise with 143 in 2015).
