Free Pick MLB – 2018 NLCS Game 6
After going on an incredible run to finish the season, getting the NL’s #1 seed coming into the playoffs, the Brewers now face an elimination game at home in Game 6 of the NLDS on Friday night.
Game: Los Angeles Dodgers (98-74) at Milwaukee Brewers (101-70)
When: 8:39 PM ET, Friday, October 19, 2018
Where: Miller Park, Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Current Line: LAD -117 MIL +107 Total: 8
TV Coverage: Fox Sports 1
Pitchers: Hyun-Jin Ryu (8-3, 2.21 ERA) vs. Wade Miley (5-2, 2.27)
The Brewers send Wade Miley to the mound after he started Game 5, pitching to only one batter, issuing a free pass on 5 pitches. While I don’t get that strategy of starting the same pitcher in consecutive games, Miley has not given up a run in his last 10+ innings. He made 2 starts against the Dodgers this season, going 13 innings with a 1-0 record. In those two starts, he gave up only 6 hits and one unearned run.
Ryu spent some major time on the DL this season, but is 4-0 in his last 5 starts, getting a no-decision in a 4-3 Dodger win in Game 2 of this series. In those last 5 starts, Ryu has allowed only 22 hits, 3 earned runs while striking out 28 in 30.1 innings. He didn’t face the Brewers in the regular season.
I am having a hard time handicapping the winner of this one, but my models are showing one of these pitchers stealing the show everytime. The past 4 meetings between this two have produced a 3-0-1 record in favor of the UNDER, as well, the UNDER is 6-1-1 in the Brewers last 8 following a loss.
Continuing the UNDER theme shows the Dodgers playing to the UNDER in 4 of Ryu’s last 4 road starts. An even deeper look shows the UNDER at 4-1 in umpire Brian Gorman’s last 5 games behind the plate.
Free Prediction: Dodger/Brewers UNDER 8

The Reds picked up a big win over one of the best teams in baseball last night, and definitely a team that comes in near or above the top-five in most power rankings. Last night was a close game and yet another run line loss by the Astros, who happen to be 38-34 against the Read More…
Throw out the fact that the San Francisco Giants are in last place in the National League West Division. The Giants-Dodgers rivalry is one of the best in baseball. The two teams meet for the fourth time this season beginning a four-game series on Monday night. If you think just because the Giants are in Read More…
