Free Pick College Football Texas vs. Oklahoma
This one is a classic Big 12 matchup that features a very old rivalry between the Longhorns of Texas and the Sooners of Oklahoma. If you love great college football or should we say, great college action, then this is the game for you. SPOILER ALERT: This game may not be close enough to call it a good game from Texas, however, that being said—this is a fierce rival game and Texas nearly beat the Sooners last year with Heisman Trophy winner, Baker Mayfield. We all know that Baker has long left the building but that matters not to the now quarterback, Kyler Murray.
Kyler Murray is playing out of his mind right now and by out of his mind, we mean to the tune of connecting on 75% of the passes he throws. Are you serious, are you kidding? This number is downright sick. Look, the Longhorns are on the long road to recovery and they are doing quite nicely and are ranked 19th in the nation. That means very little and whether Oklahoma is 7th or 25th in the nation the fact of the matter is this, they are simply better than Texas.
The Longhorns defense is winning games and they have held the likes of USC, TCU and Kansas State to two or less TD’s per games. The problem for the Longhorns, they still haven’t played anybody other than TCU. USC is not a big win anymore and really hasn’t been since the days of Pete Carroll.
Texas gets one of two things; they are either crazily overvalued or they are undervalued. They are not undervalued in this game
The Oklahoma Offense is rolling after a 66-33 beatdown over Baylor last week. That game was supposed to be their test! It wasn’t much of a test. The Sooners put up 63 in game one against FAU, 49 in game 2 against UCLA, 37 in game three at ISU and 28 against Army. The Army game was the hiccup and Oklahoma always has at least one of them every year. They are famous for this but we think the hiccups are over. This team is very good and they haven’t missed a beat without Mayfield. Honestly, Murray has been better than Mayfield. It may be sacrilegious to say in Norman but who cares?
Murray has 77 completions on 109 attempts for 1460 yards and an overall completion rate of 70.6. His 75 percent which we refer to earlier is over the last three games, proving that he gets better as the season wears on. With 17 TD’s and 2 int’s, Murray has a staggering QB rating of 230.9. It’s crazy how good this kid is and the even worse news for Texas; Brown and Lamb are the receiving duo of the year with Brown at 24 receptions for 544 yards and5 TD’s, while Lamb has 19 receptions for 348 yards and 5 TD’s. This receiving core is lethal and they will out gun the Texas backfield all day long. It will get ugly back therefore the Longhorns.
