BRIAN BAKER (USA) vs. YUICHA SUGITA (JAPAN) 1st ROUND
(Current America’s Bookie‘s Line BAKER -$130)
The Olympic tennis tournament gets started off with a bang on Saturday and there is some great first round value throughout, but today I want to take a look at the American Brian Baker, ranked 156th vs. Yuichi Sugita from Japan who is ranked 107th.
Sugita is only 3-5 on the year in ATP level singles matches and draws a player in Baker that has had some mild success on the biggest of tennis stages over the last five years.
Baker’s 2016 has not gone the way he has wanted it so far, but his booming serve and great play around the net will be too much for the 27 year old Sugita to handle and will get Baker started off on the right foot in a tourney where he could surprise. Look for Baker to win this one in straights and is absolutely worth laying the -$130 to back Baker into the second round.
Check back throughout the Olympic tennis tourney for best bets as we worked toward the medal matches. BTW I am taking Andy Murray to repeat as Gold medalist at +$175
7.8 DTM Bagels and Locks on the (BAKER -$130)
