Today’s Clippers Nuggets free pick is another player prop. I crushed my Rockets Lakers pick on Sunday when I took Eric Gordon 18+ points.
The Los Angeles Clippers hold a 2-1 series lead against the Denver Nuggets.
The Clippers came out firing in Game 1 (120-97), but the Nuggets regrouped in Game 2 (110-101). The third game in the series was close as well. The Clips ended up winning (113-107).
Denver are definitely hanging in this series.
Game: Los Angeles Clippers (6-3 / 5-4 ATS) vs. Denver Nuggets (5-5 / 6-3-1 ATS)
When: 9:00 PM ET, Wednesday, September 9th, 2020
Where: ESPN WWOS Complex
Current Line: LAC -8 (-113) vs. Nuggets +8 (-107) Total: 220.5
TV Coverage: ESPN
The Clippers are going to be too much for the Nuggets to handle this series.
They have too many experienced players, whereas the Nuggets are still young. Kawhi Leonard has been the playoffs leader for LAC in scoring (29.1 PPG), rebounds (9.7 RPG) and assists (5.3 APG).
However, in this series, it has been Paul George that has stepped up. George was struggling in the NBA Bubble, but in Game 3 he exploded for 32 points on 12-18 shooting (5-7 on 3-pointers).
Clippers vs Nuggets FULL GAME Highlights | Game 3 | NBA Playoffs
I think you can mark the first game in this series as a schedule loss. The Clippers were well rested and had plenty of time to prepare, but the Nuggets have made adjustments.
Denver’s superstar Nikola Jokic struggled mightily in the first game (15 PTS, 3 REB and 3 AST), but he performed better in the next two games. In Game 3, he went for 32 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists.
Finding the Best NBA Player Prop for LAC vs. DEN Game 4
I’m 2-0 on NBA player props since I started focusing on those and I’m going back to the well today for my Clippers Nuggets free pick.
Tonight, I’m betting on Jokic to have 44+ PTS+REB+AST (-114). In the first three games of this series, Jokic has had 21 (Game 1), 48 (Game 2) and 52 (Game 3) PTS+REB+AST.
Jokic has started to figure things out offensively against this tough Clippers defense.
With the importance of this game, he’s going to play 40 minutes if things remain close.
He’s always grabbing rebounds and getting touches on the offensive end. This total at 1Vice seems way too low for Jokic in a must-win game. At just 44+ PTS-REB+AST, there’s definitely room for error.
The Clippers don’t have anyone that can cover him either. If his shot is on (50%+), this bet cashes.
Clippers Nuggets Pick: Nikola Jokic 44+ PTS+REB+AST (-114)
