Are you ready for today’s Cardinals Seahawks free pick? Both Arizona and Seattle are tied with 6-3 records, which is the same record as the Los Angeles Rams. Either the Cardinals or Seahawks can start to break the logjam at the top of the NFC West with a win tonight.
The Cardinals have beaten Seattle once already this season and the Seattle defense, well, if you can actually call it a defense, is going to have its hands full once again.

The last time Arizona and Seattle met, Cardinals QB Kyler Murray was too much for the Seahawks defense. Murray threw for 360 yards and three touchdowns and added 67 yards on the ground and another score. The Cardinals won 37-34.

Seattle has the absolute worst pass defense in the NFL. If they continue, the Seahawks are actually on pace to set a new NFL record for the worst pass defense in league history. Seattle allows a ridiculous 353 passing yards per game.
Watch the Zone Coverage
The Seahawks are a big Cover 3 team. Guess what quarterback loves zone coverage? Yep, Murray. The Arizona quarterback has the third-best success rate in the NFL against zone coverages.
Now, normally Seattle can just ride the arm of QB Russell Wilson who has dug them out of some holes this season. The problem is that Wilson is in a bit of a slump. After throwing 19 touchdown passes and just three interceptions in the first five weeks of the season, Wilson has just nine scoring tosses and seven picks in the last four games. He’s actually turned the ball over seven times in Seattle’s past two games, both losses of course.
Cardinals Seahawks Free Pick
Still, the Seahawks perform well in Thursday prime time games. They are 7-1-2 ATS in their last 10 such games. They’ll get RB Chris Carson back from a foot injury too.
As good as Arizona is, they needed a Hail Mary from Murray to WR DeAndre Hopkins to beat Buffalo last week. The Cardinals struggled in the red zone last week. They had three long drives – 10 or more plays – that ended in field goals. Typically, Arizona converts touchdowns in the red zone at a 72 percent clip, fifth-best in the NFL.
Arizona has scored 30-plus points in five straight games and will play against one of the worst defenses in the league. Seattle had scored 30-plus in seven of eight games before last week’s 23-17 loss to the Rams.
Despite a large number – 57 – as the total, this one is headed for the Over.
