We have another NFL playoffs doubleheader today, and from it comes today’s Buccaneers Saints free pick.
In the second game, the Saints will host the Buccaneers. These NFC South rivals are familiar with each other. In the two head-to-head (H2H) games this season, the Saints won both.
NO won at home in week 1 (34-23) and then won on the road in week 9 (38-3).
Based on the H2H results, Drew Brees and the Saints will have confidence heading into this game, but you can never count Tom Brady out of any playoff game.

Both of these teams had an easy ride in the wild card round on route to the Super Bowl.
The Bucs defeated Washington (31-23) and the Saints defeated the Bears (21-9). Both teams come into this game healthy, although the several Saints players still aren’t 100%.
Michael Thomas had 5 receptions for 73 yards and 1 TD last week.
The Buccaneers are going to start Fournette this week at RB. Fournette rushed for 93 yards and 1 TD on 19 carries last week. His load could increase further this week if the Bucs build a lead.
Can Bucs Stop Alvin?
Kamara will also be tough to handle for the Bucs. Kamara struggled in the passing game last week, but he had 99 rushing yards and 1 TD on 23 carries. Both teams will look to establish the run. Kamara’s output will affect tonight’s Buccaneers Saints free pick.
The Bucs had the best rushing defense this season (80.9 RYPG). The Saints ranked #3 against the run (91.2 RYPG). The team that can run the football will likely come out on top this evening.
Buccaneers Saints Free Pick
There’s no doubt the Buccaneers have more receiving depth. Evans, Godwin and Brown is the best WR unit in the NFL. Add in Gronkowski and Scotty Miller, this receiving unit is extremely deep.
However, as much as I like Brady in the playoffs, I have the Saints winning this game.
NO went 6-0 against the NFC South this season and 10-2 in NFC play.
Buccaneers Saints Free Pick: New Orleans Saints -2.5 (-110)
