ATB Tuesday Free Pick - MLB
This game by no means will be playing on primetime television, but it provides value in betting, and like Metallica said, nothing else matters. Jake Odorizzi and Daniel Norris take the mound in this AL Central battle that before game time on Monday saw the Twins with a narrow 7-6 series lead on the season, including four of the last 6.
Game: Minnesota Twins (68-81) at Detroit Tigers (61-88)
When: 7:10PM ET, Tuesday, September 18, 2018
Where: Comerica Park, Detroit, Michigan
Current Line: MIN -105 | DET -105 Total: 9
Pitchers: Jake Odorizzi (6-10, 4.41 ERA) vs. Daniel Norris (0-4, 6.14 ERA)
Daniel Norris started the season with the big club, getting shelled out of the pen, and ended up on the 60-day DL, undergoing core muscle surgery. He’s made three starts since returning, giving up 2 runs in his first start, 3 in his second and 5 in his last start against Houston on September 12th.
Odorizzi was stellar in his last outing, pitching 7.1 against the Yankees, giving up one hit and one earned run, while striking out 5 and issuing 3 free passes. The problem is, Odorizzi just hasn’t been that good this year, sporting a 4.41 ERA and 1.32 WHIP, despite having close to a strike per inning.
The Twins have been on a bit of an OVER run with 6 in their last 7 games, and 5 of their last six on the road. Are you sensing a theme yet? Maybe this will help. The total has gone over in four of the Tigers’ last 5 games. There will be a ton of runs scored in this one.
Shake your magic eight ball, bet it says, “All signs point to OVER”. A total of 9 for this one is a dream in this one. Bet the OVER.
Prediction: Minnesota Twins 7 – Detroit Tigers 5
The Reds picked up a big win over one of the best teams in baseball last night, and definitely a team that comes in near or above the top-five in most power rankings. Last night was a close game and yet another run line loss by the Astros, who happen to be 38-34 against the Read More…
