ATB Aiming to Make Instagram Where You Find Sports Picks
Ask the Bookie (ATB) has been around for a long time because we go with the flow and change with the times. Instagram has become a great place to find winning sports picks, and we are going to help you find your way.
About 8 years ago, ATB was huge, offering bettors a place to find sportsbook and Pay Per Head reviews, betting info on everything from horses to football and everything in between. ATB also featured one of the biggest forums where guys and gals from all across the globe met to talk about sportsbetting. Now it is time for a re-boot at Ask the Bookie, and will soon re-launch to be the place Social Media and Sports Betting meet!
With the evolution of the Internet, online gambling has grown in massive proportions. Not only are bettors given more options how they can bet, but also what they can bet. I remember not long ago, maybe 20 years ago when the best information I had to handicap games was the sports section of the newspaper, and mostly relied on yearly publications that were released leading up to the start of the season.
Sure there was other weekly and monthly stuff published, but nothing in comparison to the information that is available to sports bettors looking to handicap games today. The problem with most bettors is they don’t have the time to put into properly getting into the nitty gritty when breaking down a game.
Whether its work, family or both, it is understandable you do not have time to do the proper homework to win your sports bets on a regular basis. Do you spend time going through pages and pages on pick service forums looking for a piece of information here and there on a game you most likely won’t end up betting on anyway?
This is where ATB and Instagram come in. Our goal is to provide you with a space where you can find the best sports handicappers on Instagram, all laid out in an easy to view manner.
We’ll start with baby steps, adding a feed to our homepage where you can find photos, videos and stories on the social media accounts you want to view. We understand this won’t be an easy task, but with some trial and error, some following and unfollowing, ATB is dedicated to providing a service every sports bettor will want to use.
We will give every handicapper and sports bettor the chance to have a voice on our site, but we will sift through the garbage so you won’t have to. Our goal is to make the best of what’s around available at your fingertips, giving you the option to slowly scroll through our feed, or skip quickly from one post to the next.
We will be sure to have a section that only includes videos, so you can listen to handicappers talk about why they are choosing a side rather than reading about it. Don’t like what one has to say, one tap and you’re on to the next. Being in control of the content is what has made Instagram so popular.
An Instagram story is a 15-second clip where users can post a video, still frame or text edit. While viewing, you can fast-forward, rewind, pause or skip the whole video with one tap. Don’t want any more from that person? One swipe and you are on to the next profile.
You can see on the top right of our page, we are already have incorporated our new @AsktheBookie Instagram account. It’s only a week old and we’re already over 200 followers. Click the link above now to go follow us and be on the lookout for some great content.
Our connection with Instagram is only the start of what we want to accomplish here at ATB. Once we get the ball rolling, we will create our own ATB Podcast and YouTube Channel, where you will be able to have your say and watch videos such as how to’s, with a little comedy thrown in to lighten your day.
We hope to become part of the already massive online sports betting community, giving other podcasters and YouTubers a place to post their content, getting as many eyes and ears on it as possible.
Although all us of here at ATB are sports lovers, and we love doing this stuff, we are ultimately doing this for you. By using Instagram as the place to find your sports picks, not only will it save you time, but there are a lot of great picks available on Instagram that can help you win more bets.
I mean, if you have a question about sports betting, of course you’re going to ask the bookie! He’s forgotten more about the sports betting industry than you’ll ever know. Now he’ll bring some of that knowledge to you by finding the best that social media has to offer when it comes to sports betting.
There is even more on the horizon for ATB, but we can’t reveal all our secrets. Let’s just say that we’re a bunch of jackasses and we like to have a good time, usually at a buddy’s expense.
If you haven’t already done so, don’t forget to follow us on Instagram (direct link above), Facebook and Twitter. We really haven’t even started yet, but when it gets going, you will see just how great it can be.
I hope you are as excited as this as we are, because something big is about to happen. If you have any questions or comments, head over to one of our social media pages and write them in the comments section on this post. We look forward to hearing from you!
