The betting board is pretty dry, but I’m going to give you my PGA TOUR best bet today for my free pick. We should consider ourselves lucky, because our normal betting “low season” offers only baseball. Due to the time shift known as COVID-19, with sports getting postponed, this time of the year usually has a stacked betting board.
There’s normally NFL, NCAAF, NBA and NHL, along with the World Series just finishing. You add in all the other betting options like UFC, PGA, NASCAR, etc, and this time of the year is a dream for smart bettors. Let’s consider ourselves lucky that we have football 5 days a week.
Before I get into it, have a look at my PGA betting article posted on Wednesday, 2020 PGA Bermuda Championship picks.

I will be honest and tell you I don’t wager on PGA matchups all that often. Sometimes I will get a good feeling about a golfer having watched them the day before. If I like the way he’s swaggin’, I’ll put a couple hundred on him in a round matchup the next day.
2020 Bermuda Championship Golf Round 1 Highlights, Oct 29 2020
I’m admittedly a bit of a degenerate, but having said that, I wasn’t betting on sim games over on twitch during the lockdown. I did put a wager on some table tennis when I got a “hot tip” from a buddy. But that hot tip turned into a night of frustration and a morning of regret.
Wow … do you think I need some couch help?
Oh yeah, you came here for a free pick.
Luke List and Patrick Rodgers will tee it up at 12:15 local time, along with george McNeill. You’ll find the List vs. Rodgers matchup at Bet33 Sportsbook, where List is listed as the favorite at -125 with Rodgers at -115.
Go take a look at their card from yesterday. They have the EXACT same score card. Every hole has the same number … I $hit you not. Go check.
On further examination of their play so far this year, they are near identical. List is #71 on the FedEx Cup rankings with 84 points. Rodgers is 78th, with 74 points.
They have both played in the same 4 events, the Safeway, Corals Puntacana, Sanderson Farms and the Shriners. In those events, List finished T65, T8, CUT, CUT. Rodgers finished T46, T11, CUT, CUT.
Even though these two are basically twins, there is one major difference, and the reason I am going with List.
PGA TOUR Free Pick
In the two events this guys made the CUT in, List bettered his 2nd round score in both of them. Rodgers on the other hand posted a worst score in the 2nd round.
What will happen over the weekend, if they maintain position (27th) and make the CUT is anyone’s guess. But today’s free pick is on Luke List winning his matchup against Patrick Rodgers.
