Wagner, 20, was in third place after Thursday's short program, but vaulted ahead of Alissa Czisny and Agnes Zawadzki to win her first U.S. title with a score of 123.96 in the free skate.

The two-time U.S. bronze medalist finally earned gold with an overall score of 123.96, beating Czisny by 7.10 points and Zawadzki by 16.10. Czisny started the skate in second place, while Zawadzki had been the leader after the short program.

Earlier, Meryl Davis and Charlie White easily won their fourth straight ice dance title with another dominant performance, this time in the free dance.

Davis and White scored a 114.65 on Saturday, finishing with a total score of 191.54 -- nearly 13 points higher than second-place Maia and Alex Shibutani.

Madison Hubbell and Zachary Donohue came in third, while Lynn Kriengkrairut and Logan Giulietti-Schmitt were fourth.

Davis and White had opened the competition with a score of 76.89 in Friday's short dance, which broke their world record. The reigning world champions had a higher free dance score than the total scores for the last three teams in the competition.

The championship pairs competition was also wrapping up Saturday night with the free skate, while the men's program will finish Sunday.
