Value in surprise teams winning their divisions

The favorites to win their divisions such as the Green Bay Packers (-300) and the New England Patriots (-400), offer little to no value, unless you are brave enough to bet against them. The real value lies in betting on a surprise team to win a divisions.

Check America's Bookie for the full list of odds to win every division.

Here are a few teams that could surprise by winning their division and deliver a nice profit at the same time. All odds are provided by America's Bookie.

Seattle Seahawks

Russell Wilson will start under center for the Seahawks. He may be undersized but he outperformed Matt Flynn in the preseason. With running back Marshawn Lynch in the backfield, the rookie should thrive in this offense.

If the Seahawks want to win the NFC West they just have to worry about taking down the 49ers. The Seahawks have +450 odds to win the NFC West, so it would be a wager with a nice return.

Carolina Panthers

The Panthers are getting some serious hype after the great rookie year that quarterback Cam newton had. I don't think that the Panthers can win the Super Bowl but they can make the postseason and their +500 odds to win the NFC South are pretty sweet.

Tennessee Titans

The Titans announced that Jake Locker will be their starting quarterback and they would not start him if they did not have faith in his abilities. Chris Johnson is back and ready to go and with Kenny Britt at wide receiver, their offense may surprise a few people. The Titans have +500 odds to win the AFC South, which is plenty of value.

New York Giants

The Giants are the defending Super Bowl champions but they're not getting the respect of the oddsmakers. Granted it is difficult to repeat a Super Bowl win and the Giants play in arguably the toughest division in the NFL but at +220 odds it has some value to make a play on them to win the NFC East.

Denver Broncos

Peyton Manning immediately makes the Broncos a Super Bowl contender, which is why it's surprising to see that they're at +140 odds to win the AFC West. Manning didn't play last year due to injury but he is one of the greatest quarterbacks of all-time and that makes this play a value bet.
