UEFA Champions League: AC Milan vs. Arsenal Preview
February 15, 2012 by agent
AC Milan hosts Arsenal in the game of the week in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16. America's Bookie has AC Milan at -105, Arsenal at +245 and a draw at +230. The total for this game is set at 2½.
AC Milan currently leads Serie A by two points over Juventus. They beat Udinese 2-1, ending a three-game winless streak. AC Milan finished second in Group H behind FC Barcelona.
Arsenal won Group F, beating out Olympique Marseille for the top spot by a point, losing just one game along the way, their final group match away at Olympiakos.
The first leg away at the San Siro is not going to be easy at all because AC Milan is a strong team but Arsenal is coming off a 2-1 away win against Sunderland in the Premier League last Saturday.
AC Milan has experienced a lot of problems in the midfield as of late, Seedorf hasn't been as consistent as Pirlo used to be and van Bommel is more of a defensive minded player. AC Milan does have world class strikers like Ibrahimovic and Robinho but the Arsenal defense is well-organized.
Look for AC Milan to control the possession of the ball because they will be at home but Robin Van Persie is in top form for Arsenal and fast players like Walcott and Chamberlain can help with effective counter attacks. This will be a close game, I see it ending in a 1-1 draw or a 1-0 win for either team so I will take the under.
