Miami won Game 4 to tie the series, but I wouldn’t read too much into the win.  Even if they can somehow limp into the next round of the playoffs, they are 2 players against the opposing team.  You can’t expect 70 points out of 2 players on a regular basis.  The Heat is back home tonight and I expect a win.  I might be wrong but I’m not laying the points.  Take the Pacers +6 ½ to cover tonight.

The 2012-2013 NFL season is just around the corner (thankfully), which means that there is a ton to get prepared for.  One of the things that we need to discuss here is which of the NFL rookies will take down the 2012-2013 Offensive Rookie of the Year Award.  This award was won last year by eventualy Pro-Bowler Cam Newton, who had one heck of a rookie season.  This year though, the field is wide open as we have quite a few rookie quarterbacks who will be starting pretty much from the word go, and some other players who have a serious shot to take it down as well.  For all the sports bettors out there, you can also bet on this on many different sports betting sites, so make sure that you check the odds!  Here are the po...

The PGA heads to Colonial Country Club Course in Fort Worth, Texas this week for the Crowne Plaza Invitational.

Matt Kuchar is favored at +1000 to win the event.  Kuchar won the Player’s Championship two weeks ago and had a solid tournament last weekend, despite only tying for 15^th.  He is currently #5 in the world and is playing as well as anyone on the tour right now.

Jimmie Johnson came away with the win for the second week in a row, renewing the talk of him being the favorite to win it all this season.

JJ won the first 20 lap segment, in this oddly formatted race, and shot off like a rocket for the final 10 lap shootout.  He held off Brad Keselowski for the win and the $1 million winner take all prize.

Johnson was the favorite at +500, so it was still a tidy little payday for anyone who bet on him to win.  Winners of the 4 segments included Johnson, Keselowski, Matt Kenseth and Dale Earnhardt Jr.  Jr. won the Sprint Showdown race to get into the big All-Star race and could give him a boost going into next week’s race.

School officials said Tuesday night that Star high school forward Amile Jefferson signed his letter of intent to play for Duke this fall. Coach Mike Krzyzewski says Jefferson is "a perfect young man for Duke University."

Jefferson, a 6-foot-7, 190-pound power forward, was rated the 25th-best player in the country for 2012 by ESPN after he averaged 19.9 points per game and 10.2 rebounds and 2.7 steals as a senior for Friends' Central School in Philadelphia and he was named a McDonald's All-American.

Jefferson chose Duke over North Carolina State, Kentucky, Villanova, Ohio State and Temple. He signed on the last day of the spring signing period and ultimately decided on the school that he felt was the best fit for him.

The Big 12 and Southeastern Conference are widely considered to be two of the best college football conferences in the country, and it seems that year in and year out the betting favorites to take down the National Championship seem to be teams out of these two conferences.  The two obviously realize this, and they have come together to set up a new deal that will make it so that the regular season champions of the two conferences will play eachother in a New Year's Day bowl game for five years straight starting in the year 2014.  This is one of the first moves towards the new four team playoff system that is anticipated in the upcoming seasons.
