Panthers sign entire 2012 draft class
The Panthers took the Boston College linebacker ninth overall. Kuechly started
all 12 games during his junior season in 2011, registering a school-record 191
tackles.
For his performance, the 6-foot-3, 237-pounder was named the ACC Defensive
Player of the Year and captured the Butkus Trophy, the Rotary Lombardi Award,
the Lott Trophy and the Bronko Nagurski Trophy.
The Panthers also signed Midwestern State guard Amini Silatolu (second round),
Oklahoma defensive end Frank Alexander (fourth round), Arkansas wide receiver
Joe Adams (fourth round), Coastal Carolina cornerback Josh Norman (fifth
round), Wisconsin punter Brad Nortman (sixth round) and California safety D.J.
Campbell (seventh round).
All the rookies were signed to four-year contracts.
