Odds to Win the NASCAR Irwin Tools Night Race – Favorite is Kyle Busch
NASCAR has just 3 races left before the Chase begins and will be at Bristol Motor Speedway this Saturday for the Irwin Tools Night Race.
The oddsmakers have Kyle Busch as the favorite at +450. I am not quite sure about this fascination they seem to have with Busch. He does run well on this track as he has 5 wins at Bristol. He also has seven top 5 finishes. He definitely will be a motivated driver over the next few weeks as he is currently #14 in the point standings and fighting for one of those wildcard spots. Nevertheless, I am probably never going to pick him to win a race. He will probably slip in there and get a win, but this is not the week.
Brad Keselowski has been listed at +700 and I would definitely keep an eye on him. He has won 3 times in 2012 and has nine top 5 finishes. He has won twice on this track including last year. He is on fire right now having finished 2nd in the previous two races and 4th the week before that. At +700 Keselowski could be a smart bet this week. Be sure and check his numbers for the top 3 and top 5, as well as driver matchups.
Jimmie Johnson is at +800 and should always be considered a contender. He has won 3 times this year and probably would have gotten the checkered flag this past Sunday had he not had engine problems. He has one win at Bristol with six top 5 finishes. You might even hedge your bets a little here and bet Johnson and Keselowski.
In these crucial last few races before the Chase don’t get blindsided by some of the driver’s on the bubble. They are scratching for those wildcard spots so don’t be surprised if we see a win or two out of one of these drivers sitting at #11-#14. Enjoy the night racing this Saturday and good luck with your bets.
