Odds to Win the NASCAR Coke Zero 400 – Matt Kenseth is the Favorite

NASCAR heads back to Daytona this week for the Coke Zero 400.  This is only the second year this race has been run.  Matt Kenseth, the point leader of the Sprint Cup Series, is the favorite at +1000.

Kenseth has 1 win and eight top finishes so far this season.  He has 2 wins and  five top 5’s in his career at Daytona.  Dale Jr. is pushing him in the point standings, so he could use a good race this week.  I won’t necessarily pick him winning the race but Matt runs well at Daytona and if he has a good race he has as good of a chance as any.

After Kenseth there are 9 drivers bunched up at +1200.  And the majority of them compose the rest of the top 10 in point standings.  Dale Jr. is at +1200 and is only 11 points back of Kenseth.  Out of his last 3 races he has a win and a 4th place finish.  He has been a fixture in the top 5 this season and he is definitely going to win at least a second race this year.  Will this be the week?

Tony Stewart and Kyle Busch are also included in that group that is +1200.  Stewart has the second best driver rating at Daytona.  He has won on this track 3 times and has seven top 5’s.  Keep an eye on him for sure.  He races well here and didn’t finish well last week.  I hate to overuse this phrase but he is about due.

Kyle Busch has the top driver rating on this track although he has just one win.  He also has five top 5’s.  It’s always great racing when NASCAR is in Daytona so enjoy the race this weekend.
