Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson isn't one to take the easy road

After his win at last week’s event, Bill Haas will be looking to make a run at the WGC Accenture Match Play Championship.  This event features the top 64 golfers in the world (minus a couple of them for various reasons) in a unique format that pairs them against one another in what looks to be an exciting week.  The event will be played at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Course is Arizona.

Various reports, including MLB.com, have indicated that Ramirez has agreed to
a minor league contract worth $500,000.

Ramirez played just five games with Tampa Bay last April and suddenly
announced his retirement after a second violation of the league's Joint Drug
Prevention and Treatment Program. The penalty would have included a 100-game
suspension, but he instead chose to hang up his cleats.

In December, Ramirez applied for reinstatement. The Office of the Commissioner
and the Players Association then decided that Ramirez must first serve a 50-
game suspension.

We are just a few days away from the first NASCAR race of the season and fans cannot wait to see the official green flag for the Daytona 500.  This year’s race will feature a new asphalt surface, which will be a welcome to drivers after dealing with the pot holes at last year’s race.  With the new track, tires won’t be the issue anymore.  With the smooth surface, engine cooling will be the big issue.

This will be the first race with two car tandem drafting replacing big packs of cars drafting.  This is going to be interesting to watch with the new changes to the cooling systems and smaller front grill openings.  NASCAR officials hope this will stop drivers from pushing for such long stresses and cut down on cars going airborne.

The regular season will end in a few days as teams continue to battle for a prime position in their respective conference standings. What they can do over the next few days will go a long way towards determining their postseason fate.
