NASCAR Samsung Mobile 500 Results

Greg Biffle is off to a great start for the 2012 NASCAR season.  I was kind of wondering the other day why the current point leader in the Sprint Cup Series had such high odds.  I wish I had acted on this as Biffle won Saturday night after passing Jimmie Johnson late in the race.  He was listed at +1200 before the race, which was a good payout to those who bet Biffle.

Jimmie Johnson led the most laps of any driver in the race, but was not able to hold on for the win.  Johnson’s 2^nd place finish moved him up to #8 in the point standings, 40 points back of Biffle. 

Mark Martin came in 3^rd in the race and Jeff Gordon was 4^th.  The 4^th place finish was much needed by Gordon who is now #17.  Dale Jr. finished 10^th and is in a tie for 2^nd with Matt Kenseth, both 19 points behind Greg Biffle.  Tony Stewart was nowhere in sight in this race, finishing a distant 24^th.
