NASCAR Samsung Mobile 500 Results

Greg Biffle is off to a great start for the 2012 NASCAR season.  I was kind of wondering the other day why the current point leader in the Sprint Cup Series had such high odds.  I wish I had acted on this as Biffle won Saturday night after passing Jimmie Johnson late in the race.  He was listed at +1200 before the race, which was a good payout to those who bet Biffle.

Jimmie Johnson led the most laps of any driver in the race, but was not able to hold on for the win.  Johnson’s 2nd place finish moved him up to #8 in the point standings, 40 points back of Biffle.

Mark Martin came in 3rd in the race and Jeff Gordon was 4th.  The 4th place finish was much needed by Gordon who is now #17.  Dale Jr. finished 10th and is in a tie for 2nd with Matt Kenseth, both 19 points behind Greg Biffle.  Tony Stewart was nowhere in sight in this race, finishing a distant 24th
