NASCAR Richmond 400 Results
It was a big weekend for the Busch brothers. Kurt won the Nationwide Series race on Friday night and Kyle went on to win the 2012 Richmond 400 the following night. Busch took the lead with just 13 laps left in the race by passing Tony Stewart and then held off Dale Earnhardt Jr. for the win.
Jr. finished in 2nd place while Tony Stewart took 3rd. To round out the top 5, Denny Hamlin finished 4th while Kasey Kahne came in at the 5th position. Busch paid off at 5-1 as the winner.
After this week’s race Greg Biffle remains in the lead in the point standings, while Earnhardt sits in 2nd, just 5 points back of the leader. Hamlin remains in 3rd with Matt Kenseth in 4th. The win moved Kyle Busch into 11th position. It bears mentioning that Busch needed a late caution to get the chance for the win over Stewart.
