NASCAR Bojangle’s Southern 500 Results

Jimmie Johnson finally won his first race of the 2012 season and he was in contention or leading for almost the entire race. 

Johnson had to hold off Tony Stewart at the end of the race for the win.  Smoke ended up in 3rd place while Denny Hamlin took 2nd.  The win pushed JJ up 3 spots to #5 in the Sprint Cup Series point standings.  Greg Biffle remains in 1st with Matt Kenseth just 2 points back.

Johnson paid off at +600.  Watch out now that he has won his first one on the season.  He is capable of going on a tear and winning the Series again.
