Los Angeles Lakers (25-16) vs. Memphis Grizzlies (24-16) Preview and Prediction

The Lakers look to win consecutive road games for just the second time this season when they visit the Grizzlies. America's Bookie favors the Grizzlies by 1 point and the total for this game is set at 182.

Despite the trade rumors involving Pau Gasol, the Lakers lead the Clippers in the Pacific Division by 1½ games. They have won their last two games, including last Sunday's 97-94 thriller against the Celtics. Kobe Bryant scored 26 points, including the go-ahead jumper with 41.7 seconds remaining in the game. Bryant had 10 points in the fourth quarter and the Lakers closed the game on an 8-0 run.

Andrew Bynum finished with 20 points and 14 rebounds while Pau Gasol added 13 points, 13 rebounds and five assists. The Lakers have now won nine straight games at the Staples Center to move their home record to 18-2.

Kobe Bryant leads the league with 28.8 points per game and he leads the Lakers with 4.8 assists and 1.3 steals. Andrew Bynum has evolved into one of the best centers in the league, he is averaging 17.1 points, 12.6 rebounds and 2.1 blocks and Pau Gasol has played well despite all the trade rumors surrounding him. The former Grizzlie is averaging 16.6 points and 10.5 rebounds.

The Grizzlies are currently the fourth seed in the Western Conference, one-half game behind Lakers. They come into this game off a 94-91 win against the Nuggets last Sunday. O.J. Mayo scored 22 points on 9-14 shooting, including a key three-pointer down the stretch. Mike Conley added 13 points and seven assists and Dante Cunningham had 12 points off the bench.

The Grizzlies have won their last six home games and they're 15-5 at the FedEx Forum this season. Rudy Gay leads the Grizzlies with 18.8 points per game and Marc Gasol is having a career year, he is averaging 15.4 points and 9.8 rebounds. Mike Conley has been an outstanding playmaker, he scores 13.1 points and dishes out 7.1 assists per game.

The Lakers are 5-15 ATS in road games but 5-1 ATS on Tuesday nights this season while the Grizzlies are 11-9 ATS in home games and 10-13 ATS when playing against a team with a winning record this season.

The Lakers have won their last two games against the Grizzlies, including a 90-82 win in Los Angeles back on January 8. This game can go either way and it will probably come down to the last shot. I like the under here, six of the last seven games between these two teams have gone under the total, including the last four games in Memphis.
