La Russa, Washington announce All-Star staffs

La Russa, who retired after the Cardinals won the World Series last fall,
named Milwaukee manager Ron Roenicke and New York skipper Terry Collins to the
National League staff. Joining Washington in the American League dugout will
be Ned Yost, the manager of the host Royals, and Oakland skipper Bob Melvin.

The coaches that comprised La Russa’s 2011 staff — Dave Duncan, Derek

be on hand. Cincinnati head athletic trainer Paul Lessard and Atlanta
assistant athletic trainer Jim Lovell are also Kansas City-bound.

Meanwhile, Washington’s Rangers coaches – Dave Anderson, Scott Coolbaugh, Andy
Hawkins, Mike Maddux, Jackie Moore and Gary Pettis — will assist with batting
practice and other field duties. Rounding out the American League All-Star
staff will be head trainers Nick Kenney (Kansas City) and Lonnie Soloff
