Greece coach Santos announces Euro roster

Santos intially named a 25-player provisional roster, but Tziolis and Kone are
set to miss out on the tournament. Final rosters for the tournament had to be
submitted Tuesday.

Greece, which won Euros in 2004, begins the tournament against co-host Poland
on June 8, and also plays the Czech Republic and Russia in Group A.

Following is the complete Greece roster:

Goalkeepers: Kostas Chalkias (PAOK), Michalis Sifakis (Aris), Alexandros
Tzorvas (Palermo).

Defenders: Jose Holebas (Olympiacos), Stelios Malezas (PAOK), Avraam
Papadopoulos (Olympiacos), Kyriakos Papadopoulos (Schalke), Sokratis
Papastathopoulos (Werder Bremen), Vassilis Torossidis (Olympiacos), Giorgos
Tzavellas (Monaco).

Midfielders: Giannis Fetfatzidis (Olympiacos), Kostas Fortounis
(Kaiserslautern), Giorgos Fotakis (PAOK), Giorgos Karagounis (Panathinaikos),
Kostas Katsouranis (Panathinaikos), Grigoris Makos (AEK Athens), Giannis
Maniatis (Olympiacos), Sotiris Ninis (Panathinaikos).

Forwards: Fanis Gekas (Samsunspor), Nikos Liberopoulos (AEK Athens), Kostas
Mitroglou (Atromitos), Dimitris Salpingidis (PAOK), Giorgos Samaras (Celtic).
